He is a Full member of the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA) and holds both a Masters of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree, along with a Diploma in Management.
As the co-founder and immediate Group Chief Executive of Fusion Capital, a prominent Private Equity and Real Estate company in East Africa, Mr. Kinoti has played a pivotal role in building and expanding the firm's presence across the region. Notably, in 2016, he pioneered the launch of the first Development Real Estate Investment Trust (D-REITS) on the continent, showcasing his expertise in innovative financial ventures. He has also held key positions such as company secretary and general manager of D.T Dobie Company (Kenya) Limited, where he was also a director in associated companies. John's expertise extends to serving on the board of Kenya Commercial Bank Ltd and being the first Chairman of its Audit Committee.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Kirimi has played important roles in various organizations, including being the former Chairman of the Motor Trade and Allied Employers Association. He has served as a Treasurer of the Nairobi University Council, a Trustee of Nairobi University Pensions Scheme, and Chairman of its Investment Committee.
